The View covers The Drums ‘Best Friend’

Lead singer of the Scottish indie rock four-piece performed an impromptu cover of surf popsters The Drums in NME‘s offices for a small group of fans this week.

The View‘s frontman Kyle Falconer and his acoustic guitar charmed the audience with The Drum‘s bitter sweet song ‘Best Friend’ about loss and moving on. Kyle’s high vocals will take you back to The View‘s Mercury-nominated Number one debut album Hats Off To The Buskers while getting you in the mood for summer.

The View are currently in the midst of their UK tour in the run up to releasing their fourth studio album, Cheeky for a Reason next month (9th July 2012). You can also catch them at Coventry’s Godiva FestivalKendall Calling in Cumbria, Y Not Festival in Derbyshire and Reading and Leeds Carling Weekender in 2012.
